The 2001 Edition of the HX Series tube and shell titanium heat exchangers feature a modified plenum and the introduction of venturies, resulting in a 40% increase in efficiency over previous HX series models.
All HX Series titanium heat exchangers refrigerant tube joints come complete with transition swage fittings; titanium to copper for ease of installation. This transition joint is achieved by way of a flareless swage fitting and can with stand 1000 psi test pressure. The joint can be subjected to brazing type temperatures ( with suitable heat sinks) within 4 inches of the joint. The top plate consists of a plenum manifold, precision seal retainer groove and quality titanium welding.
